[NFBWV-Talk] Fwd: NFB President’s Notebook - Week of 09/21/2020

Hi!

Yes, indeed! Thanks all for the convention that came pretty close to what I have advocated for for several years! I didn't want the matter of the pandemic to force it, but I did get lucky, because you elected to have it on the day we sprang the clock forward. Quite a feat there! For the first time, Zoom actually worked with my hearing aids, which shocked me so much that I decided the only way to make sure I wouldn't miss anything was to stay connected the whole time! Keryl, your fitness breaks were brilliantly delivered, and I tried to follow your instructions. Could I please have a copy of the poem you read?

Ed, your connecting the WVSB centennial of 50 years agoto the present was quite special. Donna is definitely a jewel for library service. I don't think you'd be gaining if you followed the trend talking books are taking down here. Uggg! If Donna's 93-year-old had to listen to her books on Alexa with it's limited navigational capabilities, I doubt she'd be very pleased. Of course, if anyone wants the skill demonstrated, get in touch.

Cheers,
Dave

I am so proud of all of us for a very well-run convention. Keryl, I can't say enough about your fitness breaks and your poem. Sheri, a job Well done. You conquered new frontiers in fine fashion! The best of luck to all the elected officers. The prayers at the beginning and the end were beautiful. Thank you, Carolyn and Trish.
I loved the ringing of the gong to begin and end the convention.

Peace
Karen
