Good afternoon Fellow Federationists,
Another contact for Senator Manchin's office is Tyler Brewster who was at the time of my correspondance an acting Legislative Coordinator and worked with Audrey Smith. His email is as follows:
Tyler Brewstertyler_brewster at manchin.senate.gov
I, like Presiden Soulsby must also stress the urgency of reaching out to Senator Manchin's office as expeditiously as you can so that we all can one day enjoy the benefits of this paramount legislation for the Blind. Please reach out with all due haste so that our voices, joined with our Fellow Federationists across the nation can make this dream a vibrant reality.
Have a great day!

I have an urgent need from all of you concerning the Access Technology Affordability Act we have been working so hard to pass, and how Senator Manchin, the key negotiator of the Build Back Better Act, plays a role in this for all of us.
On September 27, the Access Technology Affordability Act (ATAA) was incorporated into the House version of the Build Back Better Act. For a month we advocated for Congress to maintain the provisions of the ATAA in the larger bill. Unfortunately, we learned late last week, on October 28, that the section of the Build Back Better Act containing the ATAA had been removed.
The Build Back Better Act has not been finalized, so we still have a chance to get the ATAA back into the bill before it goes for a floor vote, but we must act quickly. We need everyone to contact Senator Manchin and urge him to require this provision in the final bill. When you call or email you might say:
“My name is [YOUR NAME] and I live in [CITY], West Virginia. I want to urge Senator Manchin to require that the Access Technology Affordability Act (H.R. 431/S. 212) into the Build Back Better Act (H.R. 5376). This bill will have a tremendous impact on the lives of blind West Virginians by improving education, increasing employment opportunities, and increasing overall self-sufficiency. Thank you.”
To contact Senator Manchin please use the following email address, or call the Capitol Switchboard at 202-224-3121.
