In addition to all of the material loss, there is an abundance of symbolism associated with this event.  Although we may not be certain of all the details, we know that fundamental changes have taken place on campus during recent months.  The loss of this building--the school's most visible symbol to the rest of the world--symbolizes in a very dramatic way the end of the school as we knew it.  I guess it  is up to us to tell the stories and preserve the legacy.
