[NFBWV-Talk] Passing of Joe Regnier

I didn't realize who Joe was, until Karen and Ed pointed it out to me. I guess I didn't remember his last name.

Back in the 90's, I used to be at the National Center a lot for this and that. I would go out on the deck, to smoke a cigar every evening, and Joe would come out to have a cigarette. I got to know him relatively well, and he was a good guy!

The only comfort I find in all of this is that at least they are back together. A chunk of my day is now empty because he and I chitchatted so much. He sit out on his patio, let the cats out if they were behaving,  drink his coffee and have a cigarette. And he knew every single neighbor and called them by name. He had a beautiful completely finished and decorated French motif apartment and he had settled in so well to his new home.h he was happy during those final couple years.
