I'd like to make just one more comment. One aspect of my blindness is the way adults teach their children to fear me. No, not me personally but me as a blind individual. If this doll causes one barrier to blindness to be broeaken isn't this an accomplishment and a step in the right direction? Are we being intolerant of those who, though not anywhere near to having a perfect model, are making the public, especially children, more aware? It so often happens that adults push their ideas both good and bad on their children and that's where I'm seeing this discussion going.
