Dear friends and Colleagues,

This is one more reminder that members of West Virginia's blind community are invited to come together tomorrow evening at 7:00 via Zoom to celebrate the life of Sharon Fridley. The original announcement is below. Please share it with anyone who may not have received it through the usual communication channels but who might wish to participate.


Whether she was regarded as friend, colleague, teacher, or rehabilitation professional, Sharon Lee Fridley was known, respected and loved by a host of blind persons throughout West Virginia and beyond. Sharon died on May 10, and she will be profoundly missed by all whose lives she touched.

Members and friends of West Virginia's blind community are invited to gather on Thursday, June 6, 7:00 PM, for a virtual celebration of Sharon's life and legacy. The Zoom invitation to the gathering is below.

This event is being organized by two of Sharon's closest lifelong friends who invite everyone throughout the state's blind community to share their thoughts, recollections, reflections, and stories about Sharon and the role that she played in their lives. Since a large number of participants is anticipated, it is hoped that individuals will limit their remarks to no more than five minutes, in order to accommodate as many contributors as possible within a two-hour gathering. Of course, those who may simply wish to join and listen are also cordially invited.

June 6 has been chosen for this event because it was Sharon's "adoption day)--the date on which she became a member of the Fridley family--and it was always a special day in her life. Please help spread the word, so that all who wish to do so have an opportunity to join in this celebration of a very special life.
