[NFBWV-Talk] Sharon's passing

I am truly saddened to hear about Sharon's passing. We became good friends.
I first met Sharon by phone from the information and referral service for
the blind. I was a high school student at that time and often called her to
learn of resources that could help me during high school and college. When
I was in graduate school, I got to meet her in person at a conference and
it was the highlight of my day. We became good friends when I worked at the
WV rehabilitation center. Meeting Sharon was very instrumental to me
because aththe time I was in junior high school and high school, I was able
to see a successful blind person who had a successful career and
independence. That stuck with me and encouraged me. I knew I could do that
too and I never looked back.
