I sat in front of you and Ahmad at one point at the national convention, not realizing who you were until a few minutes later. I was impressed with Ahmad's ideas and suggestions. I mentioned it to my husband. Once we realized who you were, we were excited for the West Virginia affiliate that he is the next state president. Thanks to you for your past, current, and future service and dedication to the blind.

Dear Members

It has been both my honor and my pleasure to serve as your president during
these past two years.   While I remain committed to this organization and
its mission, I must make the difficult decision to step down due to ongoing health challenges.  During our 2025 state convention, I found that I was unable to contribute with the energy and dedication that this position and each of you truly deserve.  After careful consideration, I believe the most responsible course of action is to tender my resignation  effective October 31, 2025.

I have witnessed firsthand the remarkable dedication and capability of our board members.  I am confident they will handle this transition with their characteristic wisdom and thoroughness , ensuring our affiliate continues to move forward with strong leadership.  In keeping with our constitution, I know that you will be an excellent hands with our first vice president, Ahmad Shafi.

Please know that my commitment to our organization remains unwavering.  I am readily available to assist with this transition. I do support our affiliate’s continued nude success in any way I can. While my role may be changing, my dedication to our shared mission remains steadfast.
