Dear friends and colleagues.

 

My name is Cameron Cassidy. I’m a legally blind PhD student at the University of California, Irvine, studying technologies that support shared picture book reading between adults and children when one is blind and the other is sighted. Over the next few weeks, as part of a National Science Foundation I-Corps program <https://www.nsf.gov/funding/initiatives/i-corps/about-i-corps> , we are aiming to speak with 100 TVIs and VI parents for just 15 minutes about how they find, evaluate, and adopt technologies (e.g., print-braille books, audiobooks) to meet their co-reading needs. We're now 60% of the way to our goal... and running out of time!

 

If you read picture books with children, and at least one of you is visually impaired, we'd love to chat with you for 15 minutes.
