[NH-North-Country] **PLEASE READ**: FW: SB287 Update & Final Call for Story Collection

Hello all

I’m not sure if I had previously shared this or not, but Sarah Chouinard from the America Votes/Coalition for Voting Rights is collecting stories regarding absentee voting to submit to the governor’s desk about the senate bill 287

which among other bills would completely harm our right to obtain an absentee ballot, accessible or otherwise. It would require us to prove our citizenship among other items in order just to apply for a absentee ballot. I also have no idea how this would allow someone to use the system from the Secretary of State’s office to get the “absentee” ballot, though I do know they were supposed to be working with a couple of organizations to improve the PDF form to request the ballot.

Hi everyone,

 

I wanted to give a quick update on SB287: the bill is heading to the Governor’s desk as early as Monday. This is our last window to get stories in before we deliver the storybook.
