[NHLakesChapter] possible transportation to and from Convention a week from Saturday

Hello
I tried looking, and the best options I can give are either get to South station somehow by 6:15 as there’s a Concord Coach bus for $35 that’ll get you to Concord a block and a half from the hotel by 8 am, or you can apply to Granite State Independent Living for their transportation reimbursement program. They also offer a couple of rides covered a month, but it would take too long to go through the process in time for that program.
If you want to talk to Derek Lavoy at GSIL, you can either email him at
dlavoy at gsil.org <mailto:dlavoy at gsil.org>
or call their headquarters at (603( 228-9680 and ask to talk to the transportation department. I talked with him earlier today about the reimbursement program and they hopefully can get everything processed in time before the 14th if you reach out by Monday or Tuesday. I think they go up to something like $100 or $150 in reimbursements a month, which might help with the Uber expense.
Hope this helps and good luck finding a ride.
Sincerely
Andrew Harmon

Hi NFB NH
My partner and I are looking for a ride to go to the convention I tried reaching out to family members, SBVI, Uber would be $200 and I’ve exhausted all my other options. if anyone is close to the Keene area and willing to give us a ride I would really appreciate it 😊

Great idea, Dana. This is often the barrier for me. Does anybody live near the West Lebanon area? We definitely have room and could pick someone up. Or if anyone is near that area, I could carpool with someone else as well. :-) Thanks!

Hi All!
This email is for anyone still on the fence about Convention a week from Saturday. Is your only obstacle transportation? Maybe that’s fixable.
If anyone is attending Convention, and they have any extra space in the car they are riding in, could you reply to this email for all to see? Maybe there is an extra seat or two here and there that can be filled by someone that has not signed up yet.
If you want to attend, share where you live and maybe someone can include you in their ride.
If you have an extra spot or two in the car you are riding in, please share what town you are in and what towns you are passing by that you could stop in. Or, if you are willing, how far out of your way you are willing to travel to connect with a fellow passenger 😊
It would be such a shame if one or more potential attendees missed out on a ride that someone was willing to share!
Thanks everyone. Hope to see you all at Convention!
Dana
