Hello all
A group involving ABLE NH, a disability-focused service group that works
primarily with developmentally disabled individuals is hosting a couple of
listening sessions for their transportation committee. They're working with
Jenn Buteau from the Alliance on Healthy Aging which is overseeing a
state-based needs assessment for transportation, which hopefully will help
address some of the public transit deserts in the state like my town of New
Hampton, the towns surrounding Keene in the Monadnock area, or the North
Country to mention a few.
Below are the details for the listening sessions, and attached is a PDF
flier for those same sessions. If you can't read the PDF, or you have
questions, feel free to contact Lisa Stedman or myself and I will get you in
touch with the organization. It would be incredibly helpful if anyone would
consider attending on the 18th or 19th.

7/18 and 7/19
Dear Transportation Task Force Followers,
Below is the informaiton on our upcoming listening sessions. We hope you can
join us in place of this month's Lunch & Learn!
Speak Up for Better Transportation in NH - Join Us or Take the Survey
Transportation is a critical link to independence, inclusion, and quality of
life - but for many people with disabilities in New Hampshire, it's not
working the way it should.
The ABLE NH Transportation Task Force has partnered with the NH Commission
on Aging to invite you to speak up as part of a statewide Community
Transportation Needs Assessment focused on improving transportation for
people with disabilities. Your input will directly shape state policy,
funding, and service improvements.
You can participate in two easy ways:
Option 1- Join a virtual listening session
July 18 at 12:00 pm or 7:00 pm, or July 19 at 10:00 am

https://us02web.zoom.us/j/84389460204 (Meeting ID: 843 8946 0204, Passcode:

No prep needed - just come as you are to share your experiences.
Option 2- Can't make it? Complete the survey instead
Your voice is just as important.

Why this matters:
This effort is part of a federally funded initiative through the NH
Commission on Aging and ABLE NH's Transportation Equity Task Force. The
results will inform the state's long-term plans to invest in better, more
accessible, and more equitable transportation options.
We especially want to hear from:
People with disabilities
Caregivers and family members
Direct support professionals
Advocates and allies
Please join us, take the survey, and share this opportunity with your
networks. Together, we can help fix what's broken and build a transportation
system that works for all.
