Hello

My name is Andrew Harmon, and I live in New Hampton, NH. I once got to fly
in an open-cockpit bi-plane when I visited the Transportation Museum in
Owl's Head, Maine. I was lucky enough to be visiting the museum when they
were hosting an old World War 1 and 2 air show, and one of the pilots heard
about my fascination with the planes. I was there with my mom, and the pilot
took us both up in the plane - a Wakko 1912 bi-plane -  and did almost every
trick you can perform with an open cockpit, though at one point he was
shouting something neither I nor my mom could make out. Eventually we
discovered I had my foot on the control wire that allowed him to operate
some of the flight controls for the plane, but we didn't crash or anything,
so he must have been in a drift maneuver. I was still in middle school, I
think, so it was well over 20 years ago, so I'm not sure exactly what
maneuver he was doing at the time.

movie, or just about anything! If we share a different fun fact about
ourselves each time we welcome someone, we'll learn more about each other at
