[NHLakesChapter] Let's share with three new additions to our list serve!

Good afternoon,

I am typing from my home in Canterbury NH after letting our whole Future In
Sight team head home early at 1:00 today. Despite that much needed and extra
relax time for the holiday weekend, I still will not be able to join the
group tomorrow. This is because I'm a delinquent *and* because I'm training
to climb Mt. Whitney on June 23 and I need every bit of time on trail to get
ready.

I've only been a member of the NFB for 3 years though I've been affiliated
(no pun intended) for many more. 

I was fully sighted until age 22, totally blind by age 33 and have had a
host of carrers. I have a BS in electrical engineering from the University
of NH who also gave me an honorary doctorate in 2021.

My guide dog Swirl "affectionately' refer to me as the jerk on the leash but
since he does such generally good work I'll continue to follow him around
the various mountain trails and business meetings of the world.

I love to hike, run, sing, write, kayak, test technology, travel, listen to
the Patriots and in general find as much mischief as possible without
getting caught. I'm an active Lions member and work at Future In Sight while
slowly trying to improve all of our connections with each other and our
world.

Welcome new and "old" friends here. I did put the old in quotes and note
once again that I'm not pushing 60, I'm pulling 40 but I'm pulling really
really hard these days.

Happy Tuesday Everyone!

Let's all share a warm welcome to Lisa, John and Josh!

Three have joined us, and I'd like everyone to continue our tradition and
share their first name and a fun fact about themselves. It could be where we
were born and raised, the city or town where we live now, a hobby, a
favorite movie, or just about anything! If we share a different fun fact
about ourselves each time we welcome someone, we'll learn more about each
other at the same time. Let's have fun with it!
