Hello!
Thank you Dana for this additional important information. I will take extra
caution. Unfortunately I was scammed by Google after loosing my email
account from Breezeline due to cyber criminals. Let me explain …
I received a call from a gentleman claiming to be from Google’s Business
verification department. He informed me I had serious errors on my web
search results for my holistic practice through their search engine. He
wanted to verify my personal information. With all the scamming going on, I
knew better than to give him anything. This gentleman asked me to verify my
name, my address, and my phone number along with my email address and
business name. I instructed him to go to my website where that information
is already available since he found the errors on my website he should see
that that information was readily available to be confirmed. Since I
wouldn’t provide him anything verbally over the phone, he said that if I
was interested in having them correct my errors to give Google a call. Well
you can’t call Google. There is no phone number for customer service or
technical support. I did learn through my low vision technical support
specialist this week, that cyber bully did in fact hack into my account and
over 40 different accounts I use for my business. The only phone number you
can call is the accessibilities department, the only way to report a scam
is via their website. I was taught where to go to look for suspicious
activity on my laptop, that shows what country or place the bully is from.
It’s exhausting and we must all have due diligence depending on technology
every day to do our jobs and communicate with each other.
Thank you for the email Dana, be safe, have a good day!
Kindly,
Melissa
