The email looks like a<br>message from a job recruiter asking if you\u2019re open to discussing a new<br>career opportunity with Google. The email contains a link, and if you<br>select it, you\u2019ll be taken to a web page where you are prompted to enter<br>your name, business email address, and phone number to schedule a meeting.</span></p><p class="MsoNormal"> </p><p style="mso-margin-top-alt:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:.25in;margin-left:0in"><span style="font-size:11.5pt">However, the recruiting message you<br>received is actually a phishing scam! The scheduling page is designed to<br>look like a real Google Careers page, but it\u2019s actually controlled by<br>cybercriminals. If you enter your contact information on the page, you\u2019ll be<br>redirected to a fake login screen and instructed to log in to your Google<br>account. If you enter your login information, you'll give your personal<br>contact details and Google user credentials directly to the scammers!</span></p><p class="MsoNormal"> </p><p style="mso-margin-top-alt:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:.25in;margin-left:0in"><span style="font-size:11.5pt">Follow these tips to avoid falling<br>victim to this phishing scam:</span></p><p class="MsoNormal"> </p><p style="margin-left:.5in" class="MsoNormal"> </p><ul type="disc"><li style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1" class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.5pt">Scammers can create fake web pages that look<br>exactly like real ones, so you shouldn\u2019t trust a website based only on<br>its appearance.
