The National Federation of the Blind (NFB) participates in it as a major charity partner alongside their nationwide "Coast-to-Coast Movement Challenge."</div><div>While the actual in-person bridge crossing typically takes place in early November, the fundraising pushes and virtual events kick into high gear in **October**, which is *Blind Equality Achievement Month*. </div><div>The funds raised from the event directly support the NFB's core mission to help blind and low-vision individuals live independent, fulfilling lives.
