[Nj-diabetes-division] If you can get there, CVS Pharmacy is pretty good at getting diabetic supplies and billing Medicare. But they don't deliver. Had a little problem getting Protigy controll solution but they finally got it. Re: a 1

Some doctors office's are now charging for the service of filling out forms and prescriptions.

    Hi,

I’m not excusing A 1 Diabetes, and I know the set-up is really bad and makes for a frustrating situation for us, but they do bill Medicare. It is the Medicare guidelines for coverage of these supplies that is making this such a difficult situation since there is so much more required paperwork on Medicare’s side and needing to know the reasons why we are testing so frequently. I suspect other companies will require same or similar documentation, and I don't know if the follow up when they are not hearing back from a doctor’s office is done or not. It is again difficult for us to get to and from doctor’s offices to do the follow up and paperwork that should be sent and received through some type of automated system.

A number of people I have talked to that don't belong to our organization but who use A 1 diabetes have had a lot of problems with communicating with doctors and shipping and billing. I have dropped them. looking for someone other who bills medicare.
