Hello All:

I spoke with Bio Sense and they are still manufacturing the Solus V2 meter & test strips. I was told by a rep at Bio-Sense that Arriva is no longer carrying their meter/strips since they are now selling another meter/brand.

Since I want to continue using the Solus V2, I asked for suppliers and here are the names/phone numbers of 2 companies that carry the Solus V2 supplies. I went with Diabetic care service & pharmacy. As all of these medical supply companies are on the initial call, they were very nice and took all my information to start setting up an account and to contact my doctor. The two companies are:

Diabetic care service & pharmacy: 1-800-633-7167 (located in Ohio and open for business Monday through Friday 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM).

2. Home Care Delivered: 1-866-329-8040.

If you want to call Bio-Sense yourself the number is:

BIOSENSE MEDICAL DEVICES: 877-592-3922

Good luck.

Eileen

Hi Angela & All:

I also use Ariva and when you sent this I was concerned about my Solus V2 supplies.

I called Ariva this morning and the phone rep I spoke with told me that they were “out of stock” on the Solus V2 supplies. I don’t think she knew what she was talking about because she said the manufacturer, which is Bio-Sense, was also out of supplies (backordered). She then went on to try to talk me into accepting a shipment of an Embrace meter. From previous comments on the National NFB Diabetes list, the Embrace is a talking meter, but from what they have said, it is not as good as either the Solus V2 or Prodigey meters.

My next step will be to call both Bio-Sense to find out if they are still manufacturing said meter & strips, and then to contact Medicare to find out who other approved suppliers are.

If any one else on this list finds out more information about this, I’d greatly appreciate being kept in the updated-loop.
