     It sounds like you are allergic to the medical tape if your skin
bubbles and blisters.  That's a bit more severe than the itching that most
of us are talking about.  Hopefully, the nasal spray will help.  Otherwise,
you might try using a paper tape instead of the stronger surgical tape.
I've used a simple bandaid too.  Or, maybe the grip stuff that Veronica is
trying.  She'll have to tell us where she gets it.

I will try this  on my
Medtronic pump, the small round sticky pad doesn't always stick very long,
and so I've been using  some medical tape. Strong stuff, great stuff
usually. Except that it makes my skin bubble andblister after a couple/few
days.
Not nice. Not sure if it's a worthy trade-off for having to stick myself
once every 3 days instead of 3-4 times a day, y'know?

But for now it's barable, because at least it's something new to deal with,
rather than the past
37 years of sticking myself multiple times a day.

My son has type 1 diabetes and has very
sensitive skin. He had lots of problems with terrible itching and
inflammation when trying to wear the Dexcom sensors. His pediatric
endocrinologist also recommended spraying the area where the sensor would go
with a steroid containing spray. If you have seasonal allergies and have
ever used a nasal spray like Flo-nase or Nasonex, that is such a steroid
containing spray.
It worked very well for my son. He first uses the alcohol prep on the area,
lets it dry, then sprays the skin with Nasonex and lets it dry. Then he
inserts the new sensor.
I've not tried them, but I've seen them advertised in Gary Scheiner's
diabetes newsletter, and I trust Gary's opinions. He wrote the very popular
book "Think Like a Pancreas" which is all about the science of using an
insulin pump. We will await your report.
He has had T1D for decades himself.
