Angela,
It is not a Glucose “meter”. The Dexcom is a continous glucose monitor (CGM) which is very different from a meter where you have to do finger sticks. I know about the Dexcom so don’t need additional information on it.
Thanks anyway.
Eileen

Hi Angela and All,
I very much wanted to attend this call and in fact I brought up the subject of holding monthly calls rather than every-other month meetings, during our January meeting. Unfortunately, I did not receive a reminder call nor any email notification with the dial-in number and access code. Can I please make a request to be put on both the email & call notification list for reminder notifications? As a dues paying member, I’m upset that I was not notified or reminded in any format for this meeting even though its classified as a non-official call-in. I did think of February 1 as being the meeting date earlier in the week, but in going about my own personal business it slipped my mind. I do a lot better when I get reminders both in writing and by phone as is done by the Technology Division.
Speaking only for myself, I feel disconnected from this group due to the infrequency of the calls and getting to talk with every one and hearing what’s going on with the other members, their diabetes and updates in the field of diabetes. I know Rebecca has gone through a rough surgery and I wish her all the best in her recovery. However, there should have been another officer(s) filling in the gap and covering.
Thanks for asking for our opinions.

Hello everyone, On Thursday February 1 we had a diabetic talk meeting at 7pm. There were reminder calls made a day before the meeting with all the information. This meeting was very poorly attended with only 4 participants, out of 18 members. We would like some in put as to why many of you did not make this meeting? Thank you
