Dear blind community,

Aye, this is Jason Capati.  I am fifteen years old and a freshman at
David Brearley High School in Kenilworth, New Jersey.  I became
visually impaired at the age of 6 by a genetic eye condition.  I am a
laid-back, nice, and fun guy.  I try to get along with everyone I meet.
I enjoy playing basketball, talking to friends, lifting weights,
listening to music, and- best of all- watching TV.  I'm glad to be a
part of this e-mail list association and can't wait to meet other blind
people.  Thanks.

Jason Capati

Hey Jason, we welcome you with open arms! So I heard you play the position of
center for the Brearley Bears! That's cool. Feel free to post questions,
concerns, and no it's not stupid if you ask something that you're unsure
about.

I hope to hear from you....

Yours Truly,

Ms. Valdez

Serena & NJABS:

The address for the Crowne Plaza in Clark,?NJ is 36 Valley Road and the zip
code is 07066 for those individuals booking Access Link or other transportation.
I haven't heard from many of you if you will be attending the Braille event
on Saturday, March 28th from 11am-1pm. The Students' division needs to be
present at this event in full force and that means we should all make the effort
to attend. I've only had a few confirmations of those attending but it's
not enough. Remember bring your family members, neighbors,
girlfriends/boyfriends, sighted friends, etc. This event is to celebrate the
200th anniversary of Louis Braille's birth. The Louis Braille Commemorative
coin which has tactual Braille on it will launch on March 26th. Please let me
know ASAP if you will attend the event on Saturday, March 28th. Also there will
be an event in Cherry Hill in early April for those individuals in the southern
part of the state. Details of a date, location, and time will be posted as soon
as it's verified.

I look forward to hearing from everyone,

Warmest Regards,

Ms. Valdez

NJABS, President

Hey Evelin

I'm coming alone. ? Unfortunately, Mom and Dad can't go. ? What's
the address
of the Crown Plaza and, if possible, the nearest cross street, so I can
arrange a ride with Access Link?

Thanks,
Serena

Hello students,

This is just a brief notice to alert you to my resuming primary management
of the NABSLink.org web site until June 30.  As you know, NABSLink.org is
the main online channel of communication for the national student division,
and from this point forward all questions and concerns should be forwarded
to me.  What you may not know is that I am a busy guy, and so while I may
not respond to your request post haste, I hope to be able to find willing
volunteers to help carry the site to its second phase and help field
requests.

For me the first order of business is creating space for student divisions
that do not have a presence online.  If you have a web site, please send me
the URL so that we may link to you from NABSLink.  If you do not have a web
site, web page or anything online, send me a message with your phone number
and best time to call.  We'll talk about how we can best set you up with a
page on our site.  If the information listed on the State Contacts section
is incorrect, please alert me of this.

In the next few weeks I will set up a teleconference inviting interested
volunteers to step forth and share a little of their time and talent.  Until
then, let's get this thing moving!

I have been asked to circulate the following:

Dave

Dear Mr. Andrews:

As you know, the job market is extremely tough right now, with fewer
organizations hiring. Fortunately, Lift, Inc. has exciting career
positions in information technology, and I need your help in filling
them.

Do you know seniors graduating this year who are ready to begin
careers? Or recent graduates who are job hunting? If so, we have
entry-level programmer-analyst positions in Westchester County, New
York and Hunterdon County, New Jersey. The openings offer a wonderful
work environment with excellent salaries and outstanding promotion
potential.

No prior work experience is required, which is unusual in today's very
competitive employment market.

Feel free to forward this job announcement to anyone you think might
be interested in these exceptional opportunities.  Please also feel
free to post the attached Microsoft Word document on bulletin boards,
and to include it in mailing lists.

Thank you for your help in spreading the word!  If you have any
questions, please visit our website, at www.lift-inc.org, or call Ron
Kozberg at 908-226-1193.

Sincerely,

Carrie Smoot
