Dear NJ NABS, families and Friends, please consider attending this film to help underwrite camperships for blind cghildren at Camp Marcella. The following message is from Dr. Bethany Fishbein, a low vision optometrist from Somerset:
Hello!
I am extremely excited to share this opportunity to learn more about the world of people who are blind and visually impaired!

On Saturday, October 30th, at 10:30 a.m, we will be showing the new documentary from Joseph Lovett, entitled "Going Blind." This film gives personal insight into the world of the blind-- you can see previews and learn more about it on the film's website www.goingblindmovie.com.

The event will take place at the Clinical Academic Building (behind Robert Wood Johnson Hospital) in New Brunswick, NJ. In addition to the film screening, we will be having refreshments, exhibits, and an informal panel discussion with one of the individuals featured in the film.

Tickets are $15.00-- proceeds will allow children to attend Camp Marcella, the NJ State Camp for Blind Children in Rockaway NJ. Space is limited, and you must buy tickets in advance. The ticket order form is attached, or you can call (732) 568-0038 for tickets and more information as well. Please feel free to forward this information to any of your friends and colleagues who may be interested.

I hope you will be able to join us for this amazing movie.

Also, we are looking for a few volunteers to provide transportation for visually impaired people who want to attend the event. If you are interested in doing this, please let me know as soon as possible.

Bethany Fishbein, OD
