Please read the following message from Carol Castellano (my mom) regarding
the Commission for the Blind.  This terrible situation will affect our blind
youth.  For those fellow LEAD students among you, this situation
necessitates our LEAD desperately!  As Joe Ruffalo always says, "Let's work
together.  Let's make a difference!"

Serena,  

Please share the following information with students and others who may want
to help.

We have just been informed of a plan to cut 20 of the 61 teachers of the
blind/VI from the Commission for the Blind's staff.  This cut will directly
affect hundreds of children and eventually will affect each and every one of
the 2400+ blind/VI babies to 12th graders who receive Commission services.

Please read the attached Alert information sheet.  It includes info on how
you can help fight this drastic cut.  
Also feel free to share this information with schools, family members,
friends, and any others who may want to help.
