Obituary for John C. DeWitt

In Loving Memory 

John Cornelius DeWitt 

July 20, 1932 - June 28, 2014 

John Cornelius DeWitt, 81, passed away on June 28, 2014 in Scottsdale, AZ.
John was born in Long Branch, NJ on July 20, 1932. He is survived by his
sister, Patricia Rayfield; children, Robin Brinks, David Krieger-DeWitt, and
Tracy DeWitt; grandchildren, Tyler, Abigail, Luke, Maya, Rhys, and Trent;
and seeing eye dog, Houston. He was predeceased by his father, Richard
DeWitt, mother, Jean Burnett DeWitt, and sister, Margaret Dickinson. 

Although declared legally blind as a teenager, John eventually earned a
Masters Degree from The Juilliard School of Music. His love of music led him
to a career in radio broadcasting with CBS and local radio stations in
Illinois. He also worked at the American Foundation for the Blind in New
York City. John went on to create DeWitt and Associates which assisted in
technological training for the disabled. He retired to Mesa, AZ in 2012. 

Memorial services will be held at Feeney Funeral Home, 232 Franklin Ave.,
Ridgewood, NJ on July 20, 2014 at 2:00 pm.

P.O. Box 375, Morristown, NJ 07963.
