Hi Tracy:
That is about what vets charge in NJ, especially if you want a quality
veterinarian. For Frontline products, I generally get them through Entirely
Pets which you can access through the Internet and use their 800 number. I
get my Heartgard Plus from Entirely Pets as well. The only medications I get
from the vet are what is required for whatever treatment is required. I know
what you mean because I am on the replacement list myself and want to keep
my retired dog as well.
Hope this helps.
Sincerely,
Tracey Frost and Coral

Subject: [Njagdu] Vet costs
I took my retired guide to the vet yesterday for his annual checkup, rabies
vaccine, etc.
I paid $950 for the checkup, vaccines, a year's worth of Heartguard and
Nexguard, plus a year of Nexguard for my current guide.
I was a bit schocked. Good thing I've got a good job!
Is this about what it costs for a vet visit in NJ, or is my vet charging a
lot? I'm pretty sure it's the pills that are so expensive.
Tracy, with Krokus and Ben
