Subject: [Njtechdiv] using OCR effectively

Hi jane messages are getting through fine. hey got a question. I have downloaded the desktop App for last.fm but to do the setup I need to use the optical character recognition feature in a screen reader. have just downloaded it for NVDA and still am working on how to use that but my problem is more with jaws. I can hear the lower pitched voice when locating the place where a password and screen name should go but how do I actually locate the field to type them in. finding a bunch of graphics that say graphic and a number but can’t seem to find the right place to type things into it. does anyone on list know how to better use the OCR in jaws. it was demoed at our computer talk meeting when leigh used a DVD to demo it. that looks a bit easier than the way last FM has it set up on it’s desktop app. want to use the app rather than going to the website and also to get stuff into my library that I have on my computer. that is how the scrobbeler works. unlike pandora you can add music to your library simply by listening to it. BTW check out my profile at www.last.fm/user/kenlawrence124 and if you are logged in to it, listen to my library radio.
