Wow, Guys, Thank you for this information.
How about key strokes for underlining, centering etc?
This is such a great division.

Sincerely,
Trisha

Thank you for this information. I was not aware of creating headings using
this method before.

Trish, Brian or anyone else, a quicker way to make a heading is to select the
text, press alt+control+1, 2, or 3 for the appropriate levels. be aware that
heading level 1 is a bigger size than level 2, and level 2 is bigger than
level 3. for level 4 to 9, using
alt+control+and the level you want will not work, I don't know why.

making a heading a certain level can also be applied by selecting the text,
pressing control+shift+s, arrow down or up to the desired styles, including
heading levels 1 2 or 3, and pressing enter.

I think this is where additional styles can be created or modified, but I
don't want to mess with it until I find out for sure.

Okay.

If you want to make text a heading level, do the following:

1. Highlight the text

2. Press ALT+H to open the Home tab

3. Press L to open the Styles drop-down menu

4. Press the left or right arrows until you find the style you want (such as
heading 1, heading 2, heading 3, etc.)

My best technique so far in regards to adding ALT text to pictures in Word is
the following:

1. Locate my cursor with my handheld Ruby magnifier

2. Move the cursor to where the picture is located

3. Right click on the picture

4. Arrow up or down until you hear "Format Image" or something along those
lines

5. Press CTRL+TAB until you hear ALT text

6. Press the TAB key once to get into the edit field

7. Type what you want as your ALT text

8. Press the TAB key until you hear "OK" and press ENTER

Someone might have a better suggestion for formatting pictures with ALT text.
Or there might not be a better one until the general release of JAWS 18.

Sincerely,

Dear Trish,

What type of documents are you referring to? Maybe that will help determine
what material to provide.
