by the way, CAPTCHA Be Gone is stated to support Firefox, Chrome, and
Internet Explorer with plans to expand to other browsers.

the other option that I know of is Rumola which offers Firefox, Chrome,
and Safari extensions and works on a credit system, where you can spend
a small amount of money (I think it is still 99 cents for about 150
credits) to solve a number of CAPTCHA challenges. The Firefox add-on has
not been updated since 2014.
If you want to check it out:

if you'd like to see Webvisum revived again, and I can't say it will
happen, I'd urge you to email James Scholes at james at jamesscholes.com.
the more emails, the better the chance something can be done, right?
. he is the one who originally digitally signed Web Visum and to make it
official, followed by the A D O (forgot what it stands for( team at
Mozilla.
I think he knows someone who was a developer of WV, and can therefore
spread the request to his acquaintance. tell James that blind users need
to be able to solve these visual CAPTCHAs because some websites still
use, and haven't implemented a successful alternative method for blind,
visually impaired and senior citizen users. and whatever else you want
to add.
The problem originally was that Web Visum needed to be digitally signed.
that was when Firefox reached version 43. now at version 53, the problem
is that Firefox requires addons to use a web extension API instead of an
addon based API. Web Visum needs to be retooled to comply with Firefox's
requirements.

Hi list ken here. yesterday on the blind bargains email I saw an item
that said with firefox version 53 that the webvisum capcha solver maybe
is gone for good. sure enough firefox updated today and webvisum is
disabled. there were no clicks and no alert to the fact I am or was
logged on to webvisum this means blind userfs of firefox can no longer
solve capchas independently without an audio capcha. my highschool
reunion website rahway high dot com uses a capcha on it’s guestbook and
if I wish to send a message to a classmate via the send this person a
message option on the guestbook I can no longer do that. I can only
email someone who is on the emails listed on the alumni for each year.
do any of you know a good alternative capcha solver? there is a capcha
be gone but you have to buy that and think it only works on chrome.
thanks to mozilla for protecting everybody from those dangerous blind
people.
