[Njtechdiv] how to change delete key

this is what I am looking for 
how do you change the delete  key button   
in live mail 
this is the problum 
o k I am in a  open email and I push the delete key and it says the word delete and now that email is gone 
now I am on a new email and it  is closed  
now I push on the delete key and it does not say a word but the email is now gone 
please can some one help me fix this
