James, verify that you tried the steps at:
Dropbox failed to install:
https://www.
dropbox.
com/help/desktop-web/install-failed

note the URL above is broken in 2 places intentionally (after the period 
following the www and dropbox) because if it is one long URL, the server 
at Outlook.com will convert it to a funky link that might not bring you 
to the post. I don't know why it is affecting my email account. you'll 
need to copy it to Notepad and remove the hard returns (breaks).

Hello All,

I was able to resolve the issue with iTunes and iCloud for Windows updates,
however, I need further assistance with Dropbox.

I cannot get dropbox to install updates, they fail to update, encounter
error 2.

Does anyone know how to fix these errors or have any suggestions to
troubleshoot these errors?
