hi Lester, although this is not program specific, try this.
when you're in the inbox,
press control+home to make sure you're at the top of the list of messages,
press control+shift+end to select all of the messages to the end of the 
list.
press the delete key, or shift+delete to delete the messages permanently.

this also applies to the other folders, so be careful.

do post back if it works or not.
