[Njtechdiv] OT How to effectively call our senator

Sorry to be ignorant, and off-topic, but it's been a very long time since
I've called a senator.  What's the right way to do it?  Do I talk to whoever
answers the phone, or do I say I want to talk to someone to tell Senator
Booker not to introduce or support the so-called ADA reform bill?

 

I'm very phone-shy, and I want to get it right.  I know there are people
here who can tell me how it's done.
