Thanks! Now I know what to do, I won’t feel so anxious about making that
call.

And glad to hear Booker is doing the right thing.

Here is your answer as I approached my brother, Joe for his input as well.

Always state your name and town of residence.

You can ask to speak to the staff person that handles ADA policy however, if
not available to leave with this person, give your information to the person
who answers the phone.

good idea to get the name of the person who takes your message.

Note: Great news! Hot off the press!

We just learned that Senator Booker is circulating a letter in the Senate to
oppose H.R. 620.

Members are making phone calls toSenator Booker to thank him for his
efforts.

Next Step:

An email will be distributed shortly highlighting the above info.

The email will have info to contact Senator robert Menendez to encourage him
to sign the letter to oppose H.R. 620.

Thanks for your continued support.

Each voice needs to be heard!

Sorry to be ignorant, and off-topic, but it’s been a very long time since I’ve
called a senator. What’s the right way to do it? Do I talk to whoever
answers the phone, or do I say I want to talk to someone to tell Senator
Booker not to introduce or support the so-called ADA reform bill?

I’m very phone-shy, and I want to get it right. I know there are people
here who can tell me how it’s done.

Tracy
