Les, as Trish mentioned, when you press control+y and then the down or
up arrow keys, you should find the all folders listed including the ones
you created, and press enter to go into that folder. I don't use Outlook
2016, but I've heard from mailing lists I subscribe to mention control+y
followed by the enter key is the keystroke to use to do what you want.
what happens when you press control+y?

Hi Les, the key stroke for your request is control and the letter y, you
then can arrow up and down and listen to what folders are there, then
just press enter to open.

I have windows ten and jaws 18 and out look 16

this is my question

I would like to go from the in box to the files or folders  I am not
sure which one it is

It is the one you make your self and name each one

I need the key strokes that  take me from the inbox to the folders so I
can open them and read them
