Thanks Dean. Didn’t know this, and it does sound easier than holding down alt-control all the time.

Move from table to table by hitting T. Shift+t to go backwards.

Table navigation depends a bit on what screen reader you use. All screen readers support the use of the alt+ctrl keys to navigate. Hold down alt+ctrl and use arrow keys and the table will make much more sense.

With JAWS, there is what is called a table layer, and many users prefer this because it’s easier on the fingers. Once you’re focused on a table, press insert+space, then t and from then on, you can navigate the table with arrow keys. When you leave the table or hit a key that is not a table layer keystroke, you exit the table layer and your arrows return to normal.

Hi All,

I need some pointers in using Jaws on Google Chrome & the Shoprite web site. On the ShopRite web site when I place a grocery order on-line, at the boint I want to review my cart and items in it, the web site displays all the items in a table format.

I know I can right and left arrow through them, but I find it very confusing and am not really clear on what happens as I try advancing or go backwards through the list. Can any one tell me how to best navigate through the table format?

Another issue is that the site displays a lot of items it thinks I’d be interested in and they to are not only in the table format, but mashed right either in or above the actual items I want to buy. This makes finding the start of the items in my cart very difficult. Any advice on how I can get directly to the beginning of my order items?

Thanks for any tips you can offer.

Eileen
