one can also type the first two, three or more letters to jump to more 
specific files. for example, say there are 20 files that start with the 
letter c, but you want the file named closet. instead of pressing the 
letter c until you get to the file named closet, you can type cl to jump 
to the files that start with cl.

Hi, yes, you can use first-letter navigation.  Whenever you're in a list
of any files, you can press the first letter to jump to the first file
beginning with that letter.  Subsequent presses will jump to each file.
