[NJTechDiv] Newsline app

I've been using the Newsline app on my iPhone for years, but I'm having some
problems with the latest version.  Maybe someone can tell me what I'm
missing.

I select my favorite newspaper, the Bergen Record.  I select News.  I get a
list of headlines, and I decide I want to read one of the articles.  I
double-tap the article, and, more often than not, I get a basically blank
screen that only shows me the headline.  How do I actually read an article,
every time? Sometimes it works, but not very often.
