How to Remove Apps from the Home Screen without Deleting Them from Your
iPhone: Rita's iDevice Advice for November 16, 2020

One of the many ways iOS 14 allows you to customize your iPhone Home screen
is by giving you the option to delete apps from your Home screen without
deleting them entirely. This enables you to keep your Home screen clean by
only featuring the apps you want the quickest access to, while allowing you
to still access the apps you removed from your Home screen, through the App
Library. Keep your Home screen clean but all your apps available with these
easy steps.

Note: These instructions were written for sighted persons, who are not
using voiceOver. If you are using VoiceOver: when the instructions say
"Tap on an item", perform a one finger double tap.

How to Delete Apps from Your Home Screen in iOS 14

1. Long press a blank part of your Home screen until the apps start to
wiggle.

2. Swipe to the app page with the app icon you want to remove

3. Tap the minus (-) symbol on the top left of the app icon.

4. Tap Remove from Home Screen.

The app will still be accessible through the App Library but will no longer
be featured on your Home screen.
