I don't use Zoomtext, but I can't imagine that it is still updating 
since Friday.  before taking any action, are you able to press alt+tab 
to see if a different window is open?  perhaps there is a window waiting 
for you to restart the computer.

if not, do you know how to use the task manager?

                Hi, I have my work lap top and it is stuck on the
zoomtextscreen.  Nothing I try to do will change the screen.  I am
unable to get to the desk top or even shut down.  Any clue what is
happening?  Previously on Friday it began updates, can it still be updating?
