Don’t the newer iPhones, like the SE, have the LIDAR? And isn’t LIDAR what the new indoor navigation apps use?

Unless you’re having battery problems with your iPhone 8. There isn’t too much difference between the SE and eight. Yes it may be a little faster. But other than that I don’t think there’s anything else. I wish it had the UWB chip for the air tags. I’m actually been using the iPhone SE because it is a great alternative then spending $1000 for an iPhone 12. One last thing I should mention, you said you had a plus model so your phone is actually bigger than the SE. If size matters.

Good morning,
I am looking into getting an iPhone Se 2020 to replace my iPhone 8 plus. I’m not into the whole no home button or Face ID thing, so the Se is a good choice. However, I have read some reviews that say if you already own an iPhone 8, the Se isn’t really worth it. For those of you who have one and upgraded from an 8, do you notice a difference in performance And is the phone worth buying?
