Hello Angela,

I'm not sure how to answer your question. Why don't you make a list of
things you need a computer to do before you post your question again.
Everyone has different use cases for a computer. Some people use a computer
to work in an office or education environment, some people are software
developers, and others use computers for gaming. All these tasks may have
different requirements. What you will need may also depend on what
screenreaders you use, and what external devices you would like to connect
to a computer.

I'm not sure which brands to recommend. Everyone has their own experiences
with brands. I used a Dell computer with Windows 10, and it was reliable
until the components started wearing out and the processor became obsolete.
I now have an HP computer running Windows 11. I like the computer though I
have had some challenges getting various Braille displays to work reliably.
I wouldn't discourage anyone from buying an HP computer just because I have
some issues. Everyone's mileage may vary. My best experience has been going
directly to a computer store and looking at various models. I also came
prepared with a list of questions so I could make an informed choice.
Personally, I would not buy a computer online, but I wouldn't say that
someone else shouldn't do that. If your funds are limited, consider buying a
refurbished computer from Computers for the Blind.
