I must admit I'm quite confused by your question, but I think you're asking how your computer can act as a dictionary?  In that case, I usually use Google.  In the Search field, just put "define word" into the box, and you'll get back a definition.

Not quite sure what you want. If you are looking up something like let’s say I need to know the title of an album for a song I’m going to play I usually go to google which on chrome is up with the browser launch and I’ll type in the name of a song the group name then I’ll type in the word album with a questionmark. I have to do that from time to time for the radio show because songs must be tagged if you are playing copyrighted material. I usually have title, artist, album and year and type of music in my tagging.  If I want a definition of a word I’ll ask alexa. A good example of that is once I wanted to know where a song charted I was playing.  But best thing to do with a word definition is to google it.
