Hi Ken.

There's no What's New on the Reader itself. You could try searching Bard
for NLS Reader update, or something like that.

There are big changes in the update to use Bard 2.0. The whole layout looks
different when you access Bard from the Reader. And there's a setting to
choose what you see on Bard-braille, audio, or both. You can't listen to
audio on the Reader, but you can see books and add them to your wishlist
from the Reader.

After the update, you have to log in to Bard again, and also in to
Bookshare, if you have it.

The update also increases the number of books shown in the Recent Books list
on the Reader, which I appreciate.

Some people on the Reader list have reported problems accessing very large
files, like some bibles, after the update. Don't know if that would affect
you or not. It hasn't affected me.

Those are the changes I recall.

Tracy

Subject: [NJTechDiv] reader updated.

Hi group, this morning after recharging my NLS reader I checked and it did
have a software update. is there any way to view whether or not there are
new features on the reader? usually when a screen reader or other software
updates there is a what's new. I do notice one thing is it tells you if and
when it is connected to the internet and it does seem to give a bit more
feedback. is there a what's new and should I maybe have looked in the about
in settings?
