There is a quicker way to add a heading, highlight the text then press
alt-control-number, such as 1 for h1, 2 for h2 etc. That is the
numbers on the top row.<br><br>

If you want to make text a heading level, do the following:<br>
1. Highlight the text<br>
2. Press ALT+H to open the Home tab<br>
3. Press L to open the Styles drop-down menu<br>
4. Press the left or right arrows until you find the style you want (such
as heading 1, heading 2, heading 3, etc.)<br>

My best technique so far in regards to adding ALT text to pictures in
Word is the following:<br>
1. Locate my cursor with my handheld Ruby magnifier<br>
2. Move the cursor to where the picture is located<br>
3. Right click on the picture<br>
4. Arrow up or down until you hear “Format Image” or something along
those lines<br>
5. Press CTRL+TAB until you hear ALT text<br>
6. Press the TAB key once to get into the edit field<br>
7. Type what you want as your ALT text<br>
8. Press the TAB key until you hear “OK” and press ENTER<br>
<br>
Someone might have a better suggestion for formatting pictures with ALT
text. Or there might not be a better one until the general release of
JAWS 18.<br>
