You may want to turn off predictive text and auto correction as well.</div><div dir="ltr">You may also want to turn off the slide to type feature. Especially, if you are using voiceover touch typing. He is an excellent typist, but he’s having trouble learning to type using the onscreen keyboard. When he types on a real keyboard, he doesn’t hunt and peck—his fingers just know how they’re lined up and where to go. <o:p></o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal">I remember having the same problem. I learned to type on the phone by opening Notes and practicing, but he had a lot of trouble with that approach last night when we tried it.<o:p></o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal">Is there a better way to learn how to use the onscreen keyboard?<o:p></o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal">I thought of using dictate instead, but most of what he needs are user IDs and passwords, and I don’t think dictate works for that.
