PDF stands for Portable Document Format. It was developed by Adobe. It is

now a public standard.<br><br>

It was intended as a way to distribute documents in a format that

couldn't be easily altered, one that would be available on a number of

computer platforms, and where the documents would look the same however

they are viewed.<br><br>

The most common way to look at them is with Adobe Acrobat Reader. I think

it is called Adobe Acrobat DC now.  It is probably on your system,

just click on a PDF, and see what happens.<br><br>
