<p class="MsoNormal">Starting in June, 2025, customers with a Comcast email address were being \u201cinvited\u201d to \u201cupgrade their email account to Yahoo Mail for a better email experience at no extra cost.\u201d (Parenthetically speaking, what this represents is a not-so-well-hidden attempt by Comcast to reduce the number of customers for whom it needs to handle email)</p>

<h2>The Problem</h2>
<p class="MsoNormal"> </p>
<p class="MsoNormal">I have been working with individuals whose Comcast emails were (with their permission) transferred to Yahoo. While their emails are reasonably accessible using Yahoo\u2019s webmail interface, and while comcast.net emails handled by Yahoo are retrievable using the native iPhone Mail program, it has been virtually impossible to connect Microsoft Outlook to comcast.net emails that are processed by Yahoo email servers. I am working with the folks at Microsoft and Yahoo in an attempt to resolve this issue, but so far, I have not had any luck solving this problem.</p>

<h2>The Bottom Line</h2>

<p class="MsoNormal">If you rely on Outlook to send and receive comcast.net emails, do not accept Comcast\u2019s \u201cinvitation\u201d to have your emails transferred (they say \u201cupgraded\u201d) to Yahoo!</p>
