It has to do with the unique way Reddit formats its comment threads.</div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">Anyone can post a comment if they belong to a sub-reddit, or community within reddit.</div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">Once a member posts a comment, they're considered the "OP" or "Original Poster" of the comment. Underneath that original comment will be other members' comments.</div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">The reason some comments are missing is because Reddit inserts a tiny line connecting the original post to someone's comment on the post. It's a way of saying, this comment relates to this original post. </div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">Here's the part that is probably not detectable by JAWS. Each time someone makes a comment on Reddit, there will be a tiny plus or minus sign next to the comment. </div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">This gives people the option to collapse the comments when there are so many, it's hard to keep track of the topic. Some threads have hundreds of comments, so I think it's their way of trying to organize it all.</div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><b>Direct Message to Community Creator:</b></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">I don't know how to get in touch with whoever created a particular community; however, each community has several moderators. They can probably steer you in the right direction. I believe they are listed toward the bottom of the page on the lower right hand side of the screen.</div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><b>Posting Comments Yourself:</b></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">I think you have to join a sub-reddit or community to be able to post yourself, and Reddit has weird rules about having a certain amount of "karma points" before you can create a post. They say they do it to prevent spam. I think you get karma points by "upvoting" other peoples' comments.</div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><b>Sub-Reddit Called "New to Reddit":</b></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">There is a sub-reddit that might be helpful called </div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/NewToReddit/">New to Reddit</a>.
