I think it would be great to read a Kernal book story.  We can discuss it after that.

Hi all,

Ok, so doing some thinking throughout the day and here’s what I’ve ccome up with.

History, but in a more interactive setting: skit, or jeopardy game, or trivia.

And/or: Kernel book story to fit for students and discussion. I think we can accomplish both.

Thoughts?

Tara

PS. Vote for book, or interactive game, or both. I will go with what I hear the most for.

I think history is important.

Hi all,

Ok, so I am rewriting the agenda for the seminar. With the school and employment panels; having put all three people talking about similar topics together, that pretty much cut the seminar in half. Which topic is more interesting to include? History of the federation/student division, or accessible phones? I need input from everyone so I know how to proceed with this.

Thanks,

Tara

This makes sense.  We don't want to beat some topics to "death."

Hi,
I think we are taking both phones and history out this year. We will have a
school panel and an employment panel. Does this sound reasonable? I will
send the minutes regarding seminar and an updated agenda to the group this
afternoon. I'd like everyone's thoughts on it ASAP so we can promote the
event.
Thanks,
Tara

While I think accessibility in phones would be a good topic, I think that
having a tech talk would be very beneficial for students. This is a hard
decision to make for me, because if we take out the phone stuff, the
audience may not be able to learn about some very useful applications for
the phones like the money identifiers for the iPhone, or even the KNFB
reader. But at the same time, I know that we have time constraints, and we
don't want to waste too much time on something that's not as important as
other topics. I really like the idea of a tech lecture, and I think it might
be better to leave the phone panel out this year. Perhaps we could save that
for the seminar at the State Convention?
